What is The Kennel Club Good Citizen – Puppy Foundation Assessment?
The Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme Puppy Foundation Assessment aims to provide a means of socialising puppies and to lay down a foundation for education and training. On successful completion of the course puppies will respond to their owners and as an owner you will have an awareness of the responsibilities of dog ownership. The inclusion of play exercises adds an extra dimension to a dog’s life and can be used to make training fun and rewarding for both owner and dog. At the beginning of the course you will be given all of the Kennel Club literature regarding the Good Citizen Scheme and the exercises that will be covered during the course. At the end of the course their will be an informal and relaxed assessment to ensure each owner and dog are at the required level to pass the course and receive their award.
